I had the opportunity to attend the Pitt County, NC schools TechFest on Friday August 13th.  It was an all-day technology staff development conference organized by the head of Media and Technology Services, Tim DeCresie.  I attended sessions about Edmodo, Glogster, and Toondoo, as well as some Smartboard training sessions. There were over 400 teachers in attendance and from what I observed they were really excited about what they were learning.
