Recently, I had the chance to work with one of my favorite librarians, Jenny Umbarger from Rogers-Herr Middle School. We came up with the idea to have her four library helpers create multimedia book reviews. It happened that two of her helpers are hearing impaired so we decided to make all four of the videos [...]
Ms. Moser’s 6th graders spent six weeks learning about the Holocaust. They read books, watched movies, did writing assignments. At the end they took all that they had learned and felt and wrote poetry. Once the poems were written they created multimedia projects that added even more depth and feeling.
