Innovation Lab
Low bandwidth access for digital materials. The ILab was tasked with prototyping ways to provide access to lightweight representations of texts through a website optimized for users with poor Internet connections. This project came to us from a conversation with Laurent Dubois in the HaitiLab and will initially focus on providing access to texts collected by the HaitiLab. Our approach to this project was to use tools to optimize a site for mobile access in order to render a low bandwidth version. Project team: Andy Hull, Paolo Mangiafico, Molly Tamarkin.
