Assessment Methods
3-2-1 Assessment: Students self-report what they learned and what they still don’t understand by answering three questions: What are three things you learned? What are two things you still don’t understand? What is one thing you’ll do differently when you research?
Minute Paper: Similar to the 3-2-1 assessment, the minute paper activity asks students to reflect on their impression of the instruction session, either discussing important points or unanswered questions.
Muddiest Point: Another reflective writing assignment that asks students to identify the “muddiest point” of the instruction session, the topic they feel the least comfortable with.
Quizzes: Objective measures of the efficacy of library instruction.
