Amber Welch
Amber Welch is the Instructional Services Librarian in Instruction & Outreach. She began her work at Duke University Libraries as a field experience student from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in June 2011. She later accepted an appointment to Instructional Services Librarian in June 2012. Prior to working at Duke she assisted North Carolina State University with the Built Environment Digital Collection. She also worked at the State Library of North Carolina in the Digital Information Management Program. During her time at the State Library she worked on the Ensuring Democracy Project and the Access to State Government Information Initiative (ASGII). In addition to her work in libraries she also has experience in non-profit arts development and was an arts educator.
