Faculty, staff and students from Duke Divinity School and Shaw University can borrow books and other items from the other institution’s divinity library, as well have access to open stacks and reading areas during regular operating hours, thanks to an agreement that went into effect Wednesday.

Shaw President Dorothy Cowser Yancy and Duke Divinity Dean Richard B. Hays signed the reciprocal agreement between the Duke Divinity School Library and the G. Franklin Wiggins Library, the divinity library at Shaw.

“This sharing agreement provides an excellent opportunity to build collaboration between Shaw and Duke Divinity School,” Hays said. “We look forward to continued fruitful collaboration between our institutions.” Read more of the press release here.
